Meet the Researchers
Neisha Terry, PhD
Neisha Terry is a Jamaican immigrant to the United States. She is an Assistant Professor of English Education at Stony Brook University and Director of the VocalizED Identity Crafting and Exploration (VOICE) Research Lab, housed in the English department at Stony Brook University. Neisha Terry's research focuses on amplifying the authentic narratives of Black immigrants utilizing digital and other forms of multimodal literacies.
Tennecia Dacass, PhD
Tennecia Dacass is a Jamaican immigrant to the United States. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Central Washington University. Tennecia is an applied microeconomist working in the fields of labor and public economics. Broadly, her research interests are on the effects of labor market regulations on immigrants and the effects of public policy on children and families.
